
The Public Health Informatics Institute’s staff is made up of a diverse team of professionals in public health, information systems, data analysis and communications. They remain at the forefront of informatics challenges and their expertise to drive solutions that support public health practitioners in their mission to maintain healthy communities. Since 1992 the Public Health Informatics Institute has assisted health organizations in defining and leveraging the power of information systems to meet public health needs.
The Public Health Informatics Institute discovered the local CNMI technology company TurnKey Solutions after being recognized nationally for developing efficient data systems contributing to the high success rate in data modernization for the COVID-19 systems deployed in the Northern Mariana Islands.
Targeted towards recipients of the Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Prevention and Control of Emerging Infectious Diseases (ELC) cooperative agreement, the Data Modernization Workshop harnessed peer-to-peer learning to engage participants on key topics:
- Sustainable information infrastructure
- Improved workforce capacity and
- Shared solutions to common data challenges.
Strategic Data Partnerships were discussed for various jurisdictions on the benefits of having a reliable technology partner such as TurnKey Solutions and the reliability and confidence to move forward in unique health situations in the future.
Speakers presented during a Live Presentation broadcasted to numerous Health Officials across the U.S Mainland and U.S. territories on the benefits of having Strategic data partnerships:
