OVERVIEW:

Automotive Technology offers students advanced technical training as well as comprehensive
general education in Automotive Systems including: Brake Systems, Electricity & Electronics, Steering,
Suspensions & Alignment, and Engine Performance. Students enrolled in our program will receive
informative knowledge able to succeed as an entry level associate in the Automotive Industry.

BRAKE SYSTEMS: 

This course goes in-depth on brakes systems including break diagnostics, identifying system
components, and diagnosing and repair of brakes. This class also teaches everything needed for disc
brakes, drum brakes, parking brakes, and ABS. You’ll finish with informative information that will have
your skills sharpened.

ELECTRICITY AND ELECTRONICS:

This class will be dedicated to the functions of electricity and electronics of an automobile. You
will learn electrical theory, starting systems, charging systems, lighting and the Central Area Network
(CAN) System. At the end of the class, you will be able to identify parts and functions of the automobile
that use electrical and electronics.

ENGINE PERFORMANCE:

Engines are the most important part of an automobile. This class will teach engine operation
parts & specifications, fuels, cooling & lubricating systems and engine diagnostics. It will also go into
detail about engine performance, drivability, ignitions, fuel systems, and emissions. The training
provided for this course is very comprehensive.

STEERING, SUSPENSIONS AND ALIGNMENT:

Our instructors elaborate on wheels and tires in this course. They instruct students to identify
and repair both suspension systems and stirring systems. Alignment procedures will also be taught. This
coincides with the rest of the program that allows the complete coverage of an automobile.
